Shailey Bhatt is Vice President of Servicing Operations at Fannie Mae. Shailey is responsible for Performing and Non-Performing loan operations, including Investor Reporting, Delinquency Reporting, Recoveries, Claims and Expenses and Post-Purchase Adjustments for Fannie Mae’s 17+ million loan single-family book of business. She is the business lead for the industry-wide Loan Management Future State initiative, which is focused on modernizing Fannie Mae’s infrastructure and creating process efficiencies for servicers and Fannie Mae. She was also the business lead for Fannie Mae’s MBS Security Balance Call-in Elimination initiative, referred to as Changes to Investor Reporting, which was implemented and rolled out to the industry in 2017.
Prior to joining Fannie Mae in 2014, for nine years, Shailey was Senior Vice President, Investor Asset Management at Bank of America, where she was responsible for investor reporting, remitting and reconciliation for the Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Ginnie Mae portfolios, as well as HAMP loan modification reporting to the U.S Treasury. She was the Operations Lead for a successful, multi-year initiative to fully re-write the Bank’s investor reporting system and convert 7 million loans to the new platform.
Shailey has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Maryland in College Park, and a master’s degree in business administration from American University in Washington, DC. She also has a certificate in Training and Organizational Development from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
