Google Solutions Challenge

Asia Pacific Digital Transformation Forum 2025 (APDTF 2025)

One of the highlights of the Asia Pacific Digital Transformation Forum 2025 is the collaboration between ADB and Google. Its collaboration is crucial for empowering the next generation of developers in the Asia-Pacific region. It aims to equip these future developers with the skills and training to build AI-powered solutions addressing pressing real-world challenges. By recognizing the efforts of these developers and by sharing their inspiring stories with key external stakeholders, ADB and Google are working to further establish the region’s reputation as a global innovation hub. This joint effort also fosters technological advancement and strengthens the relationship between ADB and Google, paving the way for future collaborative initiatives to drive sustainable development and positive change across the Asia-Pacific region.

The Solution Challenge encourages university students to develop innovative projects that address pressing societal challenges. We currently have over 3,300 students registered from 202 universities across 13 countries.

Since 2020, Google Developers on Campus — developer communities for aspiring developers worldwide — have been instrumental in fostering the creation of innovative solutions. Google Developer Groups on Campus are student-led communities in universities worldwide that focus on Google technologies, providing hands-on learning, skill development, and networking opportunities. These groups foster a peer-to-peer environment where students can collaborate, solve real-world problems, and gain access to Google resources, preparing them for tech careers and enabling a smooth transition into the broader Google Developer Group community.

In 2025, Google collaborates with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to amplify these efforts, tackle new challenges, and share inspiring stories with a global audience.

Participating teams have the opportunity to win awards, including:
